Terms of Service

These Terms govern the use of Clavente ("the platform"), the software for academies, teachers, producers and dancers of Latin social dance. By using Clavente you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. The service

Clavente provides software tools: academy management, schedule and attendance, communication, events and content, and an app for dancers to see their classes, credits and events. Clavente is a tool; it is not the academy and does not teach dance classes.

2. Accounts

• You must be at least 18 and provide accurate information.
• You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your access secure.
• You can sign up with email or with providers such as Google.

3. Relationship between students and academies

When you join an academy, the relationship covering classes, payments, credits and terms is directly between you and that academy. Clavente only provides the software to manage it. Payments you report in the app are between you and your academy; Clavente does not charge or hold that money.

4. Academy subscriptions

Academies may purchase paid plans to access features. Billing is processed through Stripe according to the chosen plan. Price, trial and cancellation details are shown at the time of purchase.

5. Acceptable use

• Do not use the platform for illegal, fraudulent or harmful activities.
• Do not upload content that infringes copyright or is offensive, and do not attempt to breach the security of the service.
• Do not access other accounts' or academies' data without authorization.

6. Content

You keep the rights to content you upload (videos, photos, comments) and grant us a limited license to host and display it within the service in order to operate it. You are responsible for having the rights to what you post.

6.1 Community rules

The community spaces (comments, messages, profiles, videos) are for the dance community. The following is not allowed anywhere on Clavente:

• Insults and harassment — attacks, humiliation or bullying of any person, including repeated unwanted contact.
• Hate speech — attacks or slurs based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sex, gender identity or sexual orientation.
• Sexual harassment and sexual violence — unwanted sexual advances, sexualized comments about a person, threats of sexual violence, or sharing intimate content without consent.
• Threats and violence — threatening, inciting or glorifying violence against people.
• Content involving minors — the community is 18+; any sexualization of minors is reported to the authorities.
• Severe profanity — comments containing slurs or strong profanity are automatically rejected by a word filter.
• Spam, scams and impersonation — deceptive schemes, fake profiles, or pretending to be another person or academy.

We may remove content, restrict features or suspend accounts that break these rules, with or without notice depending on severity. Every profile, comment and conversation has a report option; blocked users cannot contact you again. To appeal a decision, write to us.

7. Availability

We do our best to keep the service available, but there may be interruptions for maintenance or reasons beyond our control. The service is provided "as is", without guarantees of uninterrupted availability.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Clavente is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the service, nor for agreements between students and academies.

9. Termination

You can stop using Clavente at any time. We may suspend or cancel accounts that violate these Terms or the law.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will post the current version on this page with its update date; continued use implies acceptance.
