Privacy Policy

Clavente ("Clavente", "we") is a software platform for the Latin social-dance world: an app for dancers and a management dashboard for academies, teachers and event producers. This Policy explains what personal data we process, why, and what your rights are.

1. Data we collect

• Account data: name, email, and — if you sign in with Google — the basic profile info Google shares (name, email, photo). We never access your Google password.
• Activity data: academies you join, classes, attendance, packs/credits, event tickets, in-app messages, and content you post (comments, reactions).
• Reported payment data: when you report a payment to your academy (amount, method, receipt). Clavente does not process student payments; that money is between you and your academy.
• Technical data: session identifiers, device type and usage data needed for the service to work.
• Approximate location (optional): only if you enable it, to show academies and events near you.

2. How we use your data

• Create and manage your account and sign you in (including Google login).
• Connect you to your academies and show your classes, credits, tickets and content.
• Send you relevant notifications (announcements, polls, class confirmations, events), which you can mute per academy.
• Operate, maintain and improve the service, and prevent fraud or abuse.

3. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

• Your academies: the academy you join sees the data needed to manage you as a student (name, contact, attendance, reported payments, credits).
• Service providers that run the platform on our behalf: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (billing for subscribed academies) and Google (sign-in). Each processes data under its own policies and only to provide us the service.
• Authorities when required by law.

4. Retention

We keep your data while your account is active and for as long as needed to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes. You can request deletion of your account by writing to us.

5. Your rights

You can access, correct or delete your data, and object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, write to [email protected].

6. Minors

Clavente is intended for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under that age.

7. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No system is 100% infallible, but we work to minimize risk.

8. Changes

We may update this Policy. We will post the current version on this page with its update date.
